Front teeth replacement with bridge in chennai

Patient lost his front teeth in an accident 8years back and underwent bridge in the front tooth region.



Patient was not satisfied with the smile and he wants to change his crown.We took x-ray and we found the caries were already closure to the pulp.Therefore we advised the patient to go for root canal treatment followed by zirconium crown in the front tooth region.



We removed the older crown which was placed earlier and did root canal treatment in the front tooth region followed by measurement



After 3 days from the lab zirconium crown has been replaced directly into the patient mouth with the permanent cement.


Now,Patient with the happy smile

Advantages:

  • No damage to the adjacent teeth
  • Affordable

Disadvantages:

  • Uncomfortable
  • Covers the roof of the mouth,hence it affects the speech,function and taste sensation
  • The bone where the tooth is missing will continue to shrink as the bone is not in function
  • As the bone and tissues continue to shrink,the denture will become loose and will need frequent replacement.
